I’m A Lucky Man…And A Productive Week

I am a lucky man.

The weather has mostly stayed dry this week in New York. Ellen and I have been staying close to Rachel in SOHO so we have seen her everyday as she heads to work. Ellen was able to help Rachel find a new apartment for her next year in the city.

Yesterday we had lunch with team Rally Road and took meetings with the whole Social Leverage team around New York. We caught up with Rishi, the Stocktwits CEO, and had an in-person board meeting.

Last night, Tom, Gary and I took the founders of Kustomer out for closing dinner. It is the first time I’ve seen Brad and Jeremy in a few years. They have been holed up in Long Island.

We got caught up on the Facebook acquisition post closing, the grind of a 14 month FTC process and growing an enterprise company to 350 people during a pandemic.

We loved being a first check into companies which carries huge risk and huge rewards.

Tonight we are hitting Broadway for the Michael Jackson play. Yesterday Ellen and Rachel saw the Tina Turner play.

New York is pretty quiet which is fun as a tourist for getting around. Midtown is still mostly a ghost town which is a little eerie.

I am looking forward to a week mostly off the grid in Italy next week.
