I don’t quite understand why Amazon thought it would be a good idea to try and design its own hardware. I love the idea. I love the free wireless. The price point is even ok, but the hardware HAS to be flawless to pull the whole thing off right. I just hope they sell enough of the first gen to fund a second gen and work out some of the design issues.
Oh yeah, and it would have to let me read PDF documents on it as well.
howard the device sucks. It’s a grea tidea, but the technology in there seems arcane–Flashs between monochrome frames? Crappy browser? 99¢ for tier-3 blogs? What is this 1994? Oh wait, pauly shore has his own show.

no. i have said that. On order and I did say that if it sucks, all bets are off, but that the stock market could care less if it sucks anyway, but if it works well enough there is zero expectations.

I’ve been hearing very mixed reviews. One of the guys on TWiT / Mac Break Weekly really loves it. Mainly for the free wireless access. He views it as a great way to access the web. He says it’s now his favorite way to keep track of his blogs/RSS feeds while on the go.
