Mark Your Calendar – Stocktoberfest from Stocktwits – Investing for Profit and Joy – October 25th and 26th On Coronado

I love stocks and I love the markets. It is time to bring together others that love the same things. It is time for Stocktoberfest.

When I started my blog in 2005 I named it: ‘Trends – Find them Ride them and Get off!’ I would not change the tagline today. But, there is much I have learned and there are so many people that have helped me hone my style. Over the years I have gotten more and more excited about the concept of ‘Social Leverage’. Stocktoberfest is a perfect extension of this practice for everyone involved.

The major topics of discussion for the event include:

Spotting Trends

Small data…big gains (price, volume, social signal)

Connecting the dots between early stage investing trends and public markets

Recognizing catalysts (good and bad)

Building dashboards

Tools of the trade

Setting routines that work

The taxman!

You will hear from:

1. Entrepreneurs that have sold their businesses and are wondering how to best invest.

2. CEO’s of public companies in Finance and Technology.

3. Top Venture Capitalists, Money Managers (stocks and bonds) and CTO’s.

We will dissect the favorite strategies from top investors and traders.

By the end of our two days together, you won’t have to walk across coals, but you might want to dip your toes in the Ocean. The island of Coronado is a magical place and our venue at the recently refurbished Village Theatres is a perfect setting. Coronado is 10 minutes from the San Diego airport.

We will have an Eventbrite page up this week that will have more details about our Keynote speakers and topics of discussion.

A few more things:

Only 150 seats are available.

Sadly, Stocktoberfest will not be free. But, with sponsors like Silicon Valley Bank $SIVB helping us out, we are putting on the conference for $299.

The first 50 people to sign up this week will get a special $199 rate. Drop me an email or leave a comment today to reserve a spot in the first 50.
