Momentum Monday…He Huffed and He Puffed

Nobody knows what will happen this week because of Fat Nixon’s iPhone and fingers.

On Friday it was ‘don’t do business with the Chinese’ and this morning he is praising China for being calm.

If he had no access to Twitter, the markets would most likely be a lot less jittery.

Rates are low and profits have been mostly strong even with higher wages. The overall backdrop for stocks has been really good.

Instead – over the last 18 months the S&P has literally gone nowhere and so one has to wonder – at least I do – that all the huffing, puffing and chaos from Colonel Cheese Puff have started to leave their true mark on ‘his’ stock marke.

The markets have a way of getting what they want and this recent volatility is the market screaming it is not happy with what it sees.

As usual, Ivanhoff and I take a tour of the markets and dive deeper into what we are seeing. You can watch/listen right here.

I continue to err on the cautious side until the markets start trending again.

Have a great week.
