Back in 2017 I was not convinced Apple Pay was a thing and felt I was still in payment hell.

My friend Jon Strauss thought I was wrong and called Apple Pay magical.

I responded that it was worthless until I started using it.

Today Jon updated the thread with the news that Apple overtook Starbucks as the top mobile payment app in the US.

It all makes sense as I started using Apple pay a month ago. I was on a ride and had forgotten my debit card and remembered that I had set up Apple pay on my iPhone. I stopped in at McDonald’s for a drink and a breakfast burrito as I usually do and bam…Apple pay to the rescue.

Obviously it’s a thing.

The markets have not made much sense to me this year but Apple does and it closed at yet another all-time high today.

The company that created the iPhone, is the best retailer, has the most profits and most cash is the biggest company in the world…go figure.
