Photos From The Open

We had a fantastic time in Belfast at The Open.

I have no idea how any of the players shot under par. By Sunday, when the real bad weather came – Max and I were parked in a tent most of the day.

My friend JP Rangswani organized the trip. Here we are crouching under an umbrella which was a standard pose for the week:

Here is Tiger teeing off on number 1 on the first day:

The first tee was one of my favorite spots to watch players, especially Sunday with the rain. I was surprised how human all these guys look standing over the ball in nasty conditions. Max and I saw the young englishman Fitzpatrick hit a drive into that tent on the right. Like any one of us he just held out his hand for the caddy to toss him another. The difference…he double bogeyed the whole and went on to shoot a freaking 74. These guys really are good!

The Apple camera continues to be my hero.

I took a video of a wedge shot Max hit using my iPhone and did a single shot screen grab and it came out great:

Finally, we got paired with a Japanese man at Port Stewart who did not speak a word of english, but we still had a lot of laughs. Max likes to call this ‘Golf On, Golf Off…Me and Mr. MIyagi’:

Max and I are looking forward to going back to play that Portrush Open course and a few more.
