Stocks much like Politics are a COMEDY…Sit Back, Do Less and Enjoy the Show.

‘They’ say that comedy is tragedy plus time.

I say unless you are in the financial or political business which is all comedy, all the time.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are laughing their way to the bank in the political news business and now are as trusted a news source as the networks. Since I first saw Jon Stewart I knew that the financial industry was ripe for the same innovation. In 2005, I started reading certain anonymous bloggers and laughing out loud about stocks, I knew I was not alone. I have been extremely early and maybe too blind, but I am confident we will have our day. It is not long before a few financial shows will exist that will bring more truthiness to the financial business than anything ever produced to date. The best news is they will be DROP DEAD hysterical.

The only hysteria that CNBC brings us is when they are not trying. I pissed my pants when I got the link to asshat Dennis Kneale talking about The Fly and I busting his balls.

The massive financial losses of this bear market are the first ‘financial tragedy’ in decades. The wounds and the villains are not fully exposed and too fresh. That will change because we are resilient and we will move on and comedy will be there to help us crucify the right people.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are nibbling at the comedy in the financial markets. When they nibble it is classic.

I am hoping some deeper pockets in the financial media business go ‘all in’.
