The Bad Little Nine

My friend Mike Zimmerman invited me to play in the Scottsdale National member guest weekend tournament.

You do NOT turn that down.

So here I am. One of the excellent perks of Scottsdale National are the fantastic casitas so we are all sleeping on the grounds.

As always though, I am up at 5 am writing this blog.

I brought my bike with me thinking I would sneak out at 6-30 am for a few hours, but there is too much food and drink.

Yesterday was a practice round and also a qualifier on the ‘Bad Little Nine’, which I can only describe as evil. It is a 9 hole par 3 layout of devious short holes with tiny crazy sloped greens.

The 9th has a green the size of a kitchen table.

If you look closely you can see my ball inches from the hole on the 9th for a tap in.

I could not hit that shot again in 1,000 tries.

Have a great Friday.
