I miss Ted Knight and Judge Smails (so funny).

Ted Knight was the Fat Nixon of my youth…the country club prick lawyer/judge, except that he was smart and had great ‘real’ hair.

His ‘The World Needs Ditchdiggers Too‘ was my ‘Ok Boomer’ and ‘Lock Her Up’ of my teens and 20’s.

While Trump is today’s dumbed down judge Smails, the left has their own Trump in Larry David.

Watching Larry is the season 10 opener of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ pick arguments with everyone was another instant classic.

In the opener, Larry wears the red ‘MAGA” hat as a tool to repel people. Genius.

Larry is a thin, proudly bald, mean and hysterical (not ironic) version of Trump living in Los Angeles.

I think it will take someone like Larry David to beat Trump.

But, I’ve digressed…

I got an email from a blog reader of mine asking why I wrote about ‘How To Invest In Startups’ the other day when most of my readers will never be able to invest in startups.

My immediate thought was to fire back with Ted Knight’s ‘The World Needs Ditchdiggers Too’.

In reality though it is a good question.

The real answer is I don’t track who my readers are. I have a sense that it is very eclectic from my interactions. I get teens and 80 year olds all reaching out with comments both male and female. I wake up each morning and stare at the empty screen thinking about all the links I found interesting the days and weeks before.

I am really writing for me.

I am sure there are better ways to build a bigger audience and community, but my routine is my routine.

For now, I am not willing to change it up.
