Amazon Stock Buyback…OY!

I love Bezos and I love Amazon, but I am not to sure about the buyback tactic.

Amazon is a great stock, but I doubt it is cheap by any true market standard.

The buybacks by retailers the last few years were some of the dumbest of all times. It speeds up your demise as you leverage yourself…to yourself!

I am surprised that the market loves it. The stock is up nicely. We are not in a growth phase right now so give ME that money in the form of a dividend or hoard it. Show me you care about your shareholders who believe in your growth. Don’t bet it at $73. Why were you not betting that money at $5?

That’s exactly what it’s like selling on Amazon – as an organization they do exactly what they feel like with no advance notice. You wake up in the morning and out of the blue, something has changed, and it usually affects you negatively. Surviving on Amazon has always been about being nimble and changing your tactics.

I sold all my AMZN, so right now I’m not long.

This announcement knocked me out of my short position! Damn Amazon.com…. the stock is still wishy washy at best from a technical standpoint.
