Yesterday, there was a great article by Howard Kurtz over at the Washington Post about Alan Levy and BlogTalkRadio.

I love this company and invested as an angel.

Alan’s building a great brand and enabling every person who wants their own radio show the opportunity to do so. I have not been keeping up with my own radio show idea for stocks and Wallstrip, so if someone wants to partner with me as cohost and put it together, I will show up at regular times to do the show.

It amazes me that you only need an internet connection and access to a telephone and moments later you could have a couple thousand people listening to your show. Yoko Ono, John McCain, Jimmy Wales (Wikipedia) and others have all been profiled/interviewed on this platform. You can host your show as often as you like or as little, depending on your mood.

I think there is something great about BTR since it allows audience participation, user profiles and is ultimately a new social media tool. Social leverage is what I am all about.
