Bonds, Bubbles and Biases

I talk a lot about stocks and angel/seed investing here on the blog.

Until recently I never had any allocation to bonds.

Charlie Bilello, my partner at Compound Capital Advisors has a great research piece out titled, ‘Bonds, Bubbles and Biases‘. Charlie builds portfolios for high net worth clients who may be adding a bond mix to their portfolio for the first time.

It’s an easy to follow piece with a lot of great explanations of what you can expect from bond returns using current trends and basic math, concluding that investors should be expecting much lower returns from bonds over the next 5-7 years, regardless of the direction of interest rates in the interim. Of course Charlie also includes an action plan.
