Double Barrel Phone – The HTC Incredible Droid and iPhone4 are the New MUST’s for Entrepreneurs

I once wrote that I would never leave my Blackberry $RIMM. You would have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands.

Never say never.

On Friday I ditched the Blackberry for The HTC Incredible and Droid operating system $goog. I have been weaning myself off the Blackberry for a while and it’s not as hard as you would think.

It was pretty easy having all my data ported and the HTC is an awesome phone for phone call navigation. I hear from everyone that the battery sucks, but I won’t use it much for the internet as the iPhone 4 $aapl is phenomenal for that.

The HTC is super, super light and small and the talking Google Maps and car features are finally a GPS product that even an idiot like I can appreciate. This is just gynormous.

Other than BBM, there is no reason for an entrepreneur to carry a Blackberry. You do need to carry a Droid and iPhone though.

“You do need to carry a Droid and iPhone though.” — is that because the iPhone is a terrible phone?

I also have an Incredible – great phone. Battery life is improved somewhat by turning off WiFi and Bluetooth when not needed, but don't expect miracles.

Google Nav is a killer app – total replacement for a dedicated GPS. I also can't live without Swype. To me, it is actually better than a physical keyboard, even BB. I also highly recommend Twitter for Android, Dropbox+Sprite Backup and Google Voice Search.

Yeah. And meanwhile the voice quality of mobile calls still sucks like a black hole. Fuck these phone makers and their carriers, and the FCC they rode in on.

I refuse to carry more than one phone. I want it in my breast pocket and I want to know that I have everything I need in that one unit. Love my Blackberry.

just get a bunch of battery's and a battery charger. I never have my phone on the charger, just swap out batteries. this is why I will never get an iphone. dead battery=tethered phone=useless.
I don't understand why more people dont use there phones this way.
