Email is still a GROWTH Industry

I had the pleasure of interviewing Matt Blumberg – founder of 11 year old, 250 employee Return Path on the subject of everything email. Amazing CEO.

Email is still my go to product. I spend most of my working day wrapped in gmail. It’s amazing to hear the numbers like out of 95 plus trillion messages, maybe just 5 trillion ARE NOT spam.

I think if you look at the ‘real-time’ web and social media, you will see the connection about how you can still build insanely profitable businesses around connection, curating, fiiltering and dissemination.

  4. The last company that I worked at, Topspin, has stats to prove that email is still the #1 way to reach people in the direct-to-fan space. Big time musicians and small time ones too should use various communication methods in their arsenal including Facebook and Twitter, but email is not to be dismissed.
