Gametruck…There is ALWAYS a Market for Great Ideas

I am not an investor in Gametruck , but I am in love with the product and experience.

Today was Max’s second birthday party in a row on Gametruck. It is a local Phoenix Company and despite high fuel prices and a recession, you can’t get a weekend reservation.

It is the Rick’s Cabaret ( $rick ) for boys. In fact, I have joked with management to shower the kid’s in glitter, smoke and cheap perfume as they were leaving to complete the experience. Rick’s should buy them and just go down the age chain.

The company is selling franchises right now.

My son loves the Nintendo’s $ntdoy Wii, but I learned today that 75 percent of the kid’s 8-14 that get on the truck, play XBox games. The wii is just too difficult to understand. As a non-gamer I found that interesting as I though the reason the Wii was so successful was it’s simplicity. No wonder the stock has been such a dud in this rally. In fact, most of the stocks in the industry have underperformed. The Playstation $sne was not even mentioned in two hours.

There is a lot to learn about the gaming industry during a 10 year old’s birthday.

I know the consumer is tapped, but there is ALWAYS a growing market for great ideas. Gametruck is a fantastic idea. Even better has been there execution to date as a start-up in a difficult consumer environment.

Well done Gametruck.
