The big brands have some major leverage when it comes to moving crappy ad dollars from TV to the web and the brands inside General Mills $GIS are smarter than you think.

If memory serves, a guest analyst on Bloomberg TV yesterday recommended either going long General Mills or shorting it as part of a pairs trade going long Kellogg. I think he liked Mills better, but thought that the valuations of the two companies would converge as they reverted to their historical pattern.
