Ping-Pong and today's stock market

It is a real yawner these days in the markets. It has been a great time to research trends and focus on new leaders. Not much exciting stuff save healthcare.

Reminds me of my favorite cottage and garage pastime – PING-PONG

Ping Pong has lot’s of back and forth action and is the noisiest game you can play. That sums up the state of our markets.

One thing I would not do – go SHORT! The market seems primed for more upside here but I have no big bets – just a feeling.

PS – I was playing some ping pong tonight with my cool nephew Eli. He is just 10 but has a mean game. I would know. I have rarely been beaten. I truly am a legend at the game and I rarely brag. Anyways – the little punk gave me a hell of a game. I can’t wait till my son Max can do the same. Nothing will make me happier.

Good Analogy! I think you’re right about the market showing a biased towards the strong side.

There are several pieces of economic data being released this week that will hopefully help the market establish a specific direction rather than this back and forth nonesense. The data started with the release of moderately bearish Consumer Confidence this morning (Consumer Confidence 99.6 vs 105.0 consensus, 102.5 Bloomberg consensus). We’ll soon see if my thoughts are accurate and we finally get some trending here…
