We are happy to announce that True Ventures has invested in Stocktwits to help us build and Grow faster.
It is fun to be an entrepreneur and an investor in the web space and with True Ventures we get a partner with the same philosophies. Tony Conrad is also an entrepreneur/investor with a great track record and a great attitude and he called us in very early to discuss our vision with the True team.
We are using the WordPress platform to build our blog network and True Ventures is WordPress’s early investor.
Not much will change for us other than some aggressive moves with product and features as we deploy capital on coding and product.
Our community knows what they want (they tell us everyday) and it’s our goal to just give them the apps, features and functions…faster.
Stocktwits – as you see it today – will continue to be free and we will continue to add simple features to improve the experience. Soren and I believe that the features most important are discovery, filtering, search and more ideas so that is where our time, energy and money will be spent.
Stocktwits premium, which is coming very soon , is like Stocktwits, but with even more awesome (or as I like to say…’The Social Bloomberg’).
