Goldman Sachs knew this was coming.
The SEC knew this was coming.
I am sure some people in the options pit knew this was coming.
But that’s about it.
Today was a historic financial day. In the middle of a raging bull market, both Goldman Sachs $GS and Google $GOOG were clobbered.
On Wednesday, I started a show called ‘The Back Page ‘ on Stocktwits.tv which is really just a reminder that market moving news comes from the back pages if at all.
The market has been behaving giddy. It has been fun again. We are entitled to a little fun.
I think we had given up that anyone cared about the banker shenannigans at Goldman. We had pretty much written off the SEC as useless. We had forgotten that China was fighting with Google.
All of that was replaced by Tiger Woods.
Even if Tiger is ‘lamma’ long Google and Goldman, he had an awesome day and he is finally back page news.
