The Perfect Red Eye?

I am not sure one exists, but compared to my middle seat hell of the last one, last night’s was perfect.

Full row to myself, correct ambien dose and an on time flight.

Not sleepy, I had my first meeting with James Altucher of Stockpickr, a site I am using more and more and my friend Andy Monfried who makes me look like a slacker. Andy writes a highly energetic blog on entrepreneurship, family, music and his new venture Lotame. Andy is an advisor to Wallstrip and his experience in the ad business is great. He was also a key driver (early employee) at Advertising.co who sold to America Online in “the day”.

Lotame is focused on the next “the day”. I am long Andy.

A full row to yourself on a red eye is heaven in the skies… ideally four free seats.. pile up those little cushions to form a pillow, lie down, strap yourself in and try to remember not to kick someone as you straighten out while asleep :)

Some unfortunate guy feeling discontented that I had managed to get four free seats, waited until I had gone to sleep and curled up. I was suffering from exhaustion and could barely keep my eyes open. While sleeping I straightened out and thought that my shoes where blocking me from stretching out, therefore proceeded to kick them off the seat. When I woke up several hours later I quickly worked out it wasn’t my shoes and the guy wasn’t looking very happy :))

Thanks for the link to Andy’s blog and company. Anyone that can mix social networking, advertising, AND Dylan in one post deserves a place in my reading list.
