James and I go way back. He covers most of it in this hilarious blog post ‘53 things I learned from Howard Lindzon‘.

What he left out is how early and right HE was/is in the meaning of the social web. James is a proven and successful entrepreneur, a fantastic writer, a good friend and a guy that will frustrate the shit out of you. I have gladly learned that the frustration is a two way street and so we remain great friends and do a lot of deals together.

James was early at TheStreet.com, early in social finance (stockpickr.com – acquired by TheStreet.com), early in Stocktwits, early in his fascination and passion for the upside in Facebook and early in Buddy Media with me. James is a great networker himself.

The one thing James will never be early about is meetings. James has his own clock….AST…’Altucher Standard Time’.

I love that he is writing about things that are not affected by the clock on his blog. He is a must read if you love life and markets, mistakes and wins.
